Francesca Figaroli is an undergraduate student in Environmental Sciences and Sustainable Technology at the “Avans University of Applied Sciences” in the city of Breda, Netherlands. At the moment she is realizing her internship of six months in São João del-Rei, in the research group GPQM, headed by the professor Marco Antonio Schiavon. Her focus is on new type of ecofriendly quantum dots that will be able to increase the efficiency of the third generation of solar cells.

Graduated in Pure Chemistry from the University of Cartagena at Colombia in 2017. Specialist in Applied and Computational Physics from the University of Cartagena da Colombia in 2021. Currently studying for a Master's Degree in Material Physics and Chemistry at the Federal University of São João del Rei (UFSJ) and Research development of the Materials Chemistry Research Group (GPQM) involving Carbon Dots.
