Finalizou, em 2014 o Mestrado e em 2018 o Doutorado, ambos em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei (UFSJ) e pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), respectivamente. É professor do Departamento de Engenharia Elétrica da UFSJ. É pesquisador do Grupo de Alta Tensão e Coordenação de Isolamento da UFSJ (GATCI/CNPq) e do Grupo de Inteligência Computacional em Sistemas Elétricos de Potência da UFSJ (GICSEP/CNPq). Atualmente é Senior Member do IEEE e vice-chair da Seção IEEE Minas Gerais.

He completed his M.Sc. in 2014 and his Ph.D. in 2018 in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ) and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), respectively. He is currently a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UFSJ. He is a researcher with the High Voltage and Insulation Coordination Research Group at UFSJ (GATCI/CNPq), and the Computational Intelligence in Electric Power Systems Research Group at UFSJ (GICSEP/CNPq). He is currently a Senior Member of IEEE and Vice-Chair of the IEEE Minas Gerais Section.
